How do you make yarn?

I suppose you use wool and the spinning wheel.
I can however not get it to work.
I have built a spinning wheel inside a cottage, and have wool in inventory - what do I do next?

Right click the spinning wheel. Your player walks over to it. Your player is now using the wheel. Yes, this should be indicated graphically. Press "Craft". GL!
