Tea Making

Postby kobnach » Fri Jun 19, 2009 2:35 pm

So, I have a cauldron. It accepted water and branches, so I lit it. I have some black tea, left on my herbalist bench for most of yesterday. I have an empty tea pot - several actually. What do I do now?!?
The tea can't be used with cauldron or tea pot. the tea pot can't be used with cauldron. And I see "steam" coming off cauldron, so presume it's boiling ;-)

Also, how much fuel to heat a cauldron full of water? tried 4 branches, no idea whether enough.
Can it boil dry?

There's a recipe for tea under Craft -> Cooking. It requires the Plant Lore skill.

Thanks. Sorry about continual stream of newbish interface questions. Had been misinformed was just a matter of putting tea in cauldron, didn't think to check for recipe.

Warning to other newbs - there's a bug. If you have a full teapot in industry, won't make more, and WILL use up your tea leaves. May need two full pots to hit bug actually - since I got 2, then stuck

That's because it keeps using the same pot over and over again. Just move full pots to a container as soon as you make them and you'll be fine.

or, like someone else suggested, just pick up one of your empty pots and put it back in. then it will be chosen and filled. so you dont have to drop the full ones.
