Four leaf clovers

What does a four leaf clover do. And if so what do they look like in the ground. I've been wondering what they do for so long. Can someone tell me? :|
They assume safety in the village that they dwell in. There is a predator of the clan who assumes his dominince over all the hearthlings. They try to run away to find safety, but he is to fast. And that is the great cycle of the village clan.

they look like a four leaf clover. find them on grass/heath/moor. raise perception/exploration if you can't see them.
