Effects of Personal Beliefs

I'm pretty sure I've seen an explanation, but lost the URL. I'm particularly interested in the precise consequences of changing the nature/industry slider; my settlement needs a metal worker, and I'm wondering what moving in that direction will cost me (and give me). Frankly, I'm afraid I'll just get bored, and quit like our last metal worker, since mining's a lot less varied and sociable than planting/harvesting, and I've lately heard that it's the _miner's_ stats which matter, not the _smelter's_ stats. (I.e. there's no point having mining help from the nature-oriented folks in my settlement, except for fetching and carrying.)

The base thread is this one, but to be more exact, the being industrially aligned currently means the following with regards to metalworking:
* Ore mined by a character with full industry will convert to cast iron in the smelter with a ratio of 20%, whereas a fully naturally aligned character would mine ore of 5% mineral contents (neutral is 10%); and
* Bloom will convert to wrought iron with a ratio of 1/3 for a neutral character, 2/3 for an industrially aligned character and 0 for a fully naturally aligned character.

How about the other way around? I'm halfway down the Industry slider, yet I seem to still fairly consistently get two seeds (enough to get a decent yield off my personal garden). I'm also curious as to exactly when the 'multiple seeds' chance is determined; when I harvest, or when the planter plants?
