fishing in a boat

I was just wondering if it was possible to fish in the back seat of a boat, I've been trying but it's not working. It seems like something that would've been implemented by now, so is there a certain way I have to do stuff or is it just not possible?

Me and a friend have very happily fished in a boat at the same time. I suggest the driver fishes first so it doesn't disturb you, and make sure to click close to the boat.

That's how we do it, but it still doesn't work :(

I think you have to cast while the boat is moving.
