Murder skill

Is there any negative effect of taking the murder skill? I'm guessing only the person with the skill can initiate combat, but I'd like to know first so I don't get the skill and end up beaten to death by a gang of newbies.

lol that would be unfortunate...i have never got the skill but i imagine it would give you major negative karma...which i also have no clue about...we need a manual it seems...perhaps some of us dedicated board members could throw together a wiki or something? (hint hint)

Actually, it's always possible to initiate combat right now, though that will change. The Murder skill, on the other hand, allows you to continue beating a player who you've knocked out, so that you can actually kill him (permanently, that is).

Initiating combat can be done as soon as you have an attack. Murder allows you to continue attacking another player when he's knocked out. There are no negative effects of learning murder at the moment... or are there? *cue dramatic music* ;)

Ah, thanks. Still tempted, but not sure I really need to beat anyone that badly. :)

I've been considering throwing up a basic guide, I'm kinda allergic to wikis but it is probably the better idea.
