Industry question

Postby ChrisW » Thu Apr 01, 2010 12:09 am

So i know that indutsry (like having full) effects the chance of the ore you dig becoming a bar of metal? And that it is determined at the moment of digging. MYou smithing skill effects the quality of your metal made objects that you make...but does industry have any effect on the metal made objects. Let's say you had a moner who did all the miner and brought home the ore for processing. At home there is a farmer with full nature who does the processing and creation of metal objects on the anvil and so forth (not the mining itself). Does the fact the farmer has full nature effect the metal making, like making a scythe, pickaxe or bronze from tin and copper (not the mining of the ore which I know is dependant on industry) but the making of objects from the bars.

Nope not at all, according to the wiki it only affects making of iron. So your farmer can still make metal objects without the penalties.

Thanks that is what I thought, I fugured as long as the full nature person does not mine the ore then only smithing effects the objects then made from the bars after the ore digging process.

Like sabinati very explicitly tells us: When you put cast iron in a finery forge and get bloom to make wrought iron, the industry level of the person hammering the bloom into wrought iron will affect your chances of getting wrought instead of turning back into cast iron.
