Unarmed Combat or Marksmanship?

Postby Riou1231 » Thu Apr 01, 2010 12:54 pm

So currently, I have 13 Unarmed Combat. My punches deal about enough damage to kill an ant swarm in a single shot, I have a sling but I haven't used it yet.

Should I concentrate on Unarmed Combat, or just switch to using the Sling with Marksmanship?

Depends. MM is the way to go for anything you can trap: Like I earlier said (in a thread of yours?) its possible to solo them nicely @ 10 MM, and it needs about 50 unarmed to do the same.

For bears MM is also nice, from a boat or using boat traps (they smash through building signs and such), no clue what unarmed you need there.

So, if your quick trapping stuff, go for MM, but know that you will get really good results (effectively killing a boar) only round 40, so it takes a while.
If you want to fight just take up Unarmed. Or trade a weapon somewhere ofcourse :)

I wouldnt take melee for just a stone axe, btw.

How exactly does the aiming thing work? I see an empty bar with a bullseye at the top. I just click and my character shoots at the target bunny, but doesn't hit even with 9 MM. Am i doing it wrong?

EDIT: Oh, you need to wait for the meter to fill up.
