Is this some kind of cave?

Postby Squee » Fri Apr 02, 2010 12:58 am

I found a hole that was in a cliff. It's not a mine, I don't think, since it's not a mine hole, so I was wondering what it might be? Cave didn't turn up any results in the wikia. I entered it and looked inside, but I didn't bring a torch. I'll bring a torch to check it out in a bit.

Yeah, caves appear (somewhat) like doors on the sides of a cliff.

You can use them for cellars to ripen cheese, find cave bulbs in them and prospect in them in case there might be a mine. Cave bulbs are valuable so it is good to know the location of a cave.

What would be inside a cave? Anything special?

Just as I said above: Cave bulbs grow in caves and nowhere else. Sometimes there are mines in them. Sometimes people hide things in them, but not often since foragers trying to find cave bulbs will search every inch of them.

Eventually the devs are apparently planning on making them dangerous.

Are caves and mines mappable using cartography?
