I got the auroch penned in, and have given it the neccessary offerings of carrots and wheat seeds in the neccessarry amounts of 50 units each.

Do I need to use more carrots if there are a herd of aurochs nearby?

I don't think so unless they could steal his carrots and things. Just stay real close and murmur reassurances to him until he bonds with you. If you wander off it's a waste of carrots because he doesn't do the conversion.

Eh, I kinda figured it was a bullshit update. Oh well, no resources lost... Stuff seems to take a inordinate amount of time to decay when observed.
