Terrain has no effect on crops, nor does local soil or water quality.
Come back two hours earlier.

Having a beehive near your plants speeds things up.

most plants mature within 3 days, sooner with a beehive

Do beehives help growing trees too?

I don't think so, but the terrain the trees grow on depends.

For example a Fir Tree would grow faster in a Conifer Forest, an Apple Tree would grow faster in the Grasslands.
I like apple juice.

no thijs, trees grow better on native soil

it doesnt matter for crops

soil quality still doesnt matter

however, the bonus of native soil seems to be in days, and since even the most basic tree grows in a week minimum, its hard to estimate the effect. but a pine on forest ground grows faster than one on grass
