So i found an abandoned cabin in a great location, but i see a hearth fire there, can i claim it via yeomanry? what will happen to that hearth fire?

The hearth fire will remain, and that person will be able to log in there, but they will not be able to move around without enabling criminal acts.

The scent can be used to murder you while you are offline.

However, most people will not bother with random scents on the claims of people they don't know.

Suggested action: build something tall or plant a tree in front of the hearth fire. This will prevent people from seeing the scent. then demolish the hearth fire while standing behind the tree (look up pictures that have scents in them to see their shape).
