Farming LP

Postby BigNoobie » Tue Apr 06, 2010 12:22 am

What is the best way to get LOADS of LP... with minimum work excluding macroing.. I chop trees right now because I can read forums and such while it does it.. I keep all spare logs, and use stumps for repairing my palaside. So nothing goes to waste, I use logs when needed and I even travel a great distance sometimes for them just to not deforest one area... So any better ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance. - BigNoobie

Fishing is slow but steady LP where you only need to do anything when you need to empty your inventory or repair you fishing gear. Use a lure and fish at times when the fish aren't biting well (noon-ish) and you can leave things running for 10 minutes or more between check-ins. This is also handy if you are targetting specific fish for a specific FEP spread.

That's not much LP.. but I guess it beats depleting natural resources as long as its Q10 soil :D

On that note, how long do wicker baskets take to decay? I sometimes just make some when I'm some LP short on the next skillup. They seem to be a pretty good source for LP, since you don't have to take down any trees to get enough branches or if you do, you can make a dozen and more, depending on the tree type.

I still have the same wicker baskets from aweek ago out front of my place.. so :P not sure on the decay. I don't like doing that for LP though, I build straw baskets now for storage and I guess LP Also. But the only thing I BUILD for LP is looms... I have 5 in my land claim lol.

 I'm immature.

What Sabinati said about farming: the real lp is in making food with your goods.

Oh, and making baskets is a good way to get lp, especially for beginners (I prefer making fires, though. There is an lp gain in lighting them). The first world had a plague of baskets, which was probably one of the reasons things decay now.
