Resource question

For longtime players, Out of curiosity which do you consider most important..water, clay or soil If you had to choose one to settle on?

Thanks, it was just a group discussion regarding which one was most valuable for it's various uses.

well soil has the least use, as it's only used for treeplanting, and of course you don't want to build right on a high q soil area because you want to get the high-q foragables there.

Though soil may have only 1 purpose, that being trees. The trickle effect of high quality trees effecting so many other things (Tanning tub, cheese trays/racks, curd tubs, wine press, branches/planks for fuel and charcoal which effect cooking, smelting, herbalist table ect) tend to make me see soil as a very important trickle down resource. We sort of came to the personal group decision with all things considered, that our order of personal importance would be Clay, Soil and then Water as most important resources.

I would put clay as a priority over the other two as it is used for a kiln and bricks which is made by a kiln. Here is an incomplete flow chart I made in.

well yeah, trees are super important. but the frequency at which you use it is lower compared to clay and water, so it's not too bad to take a bit of a trip to gather some every couple days.
