What effects Sling Quality?

So i just made a sling and it was a Q4 one, the lowest material quality I had was 6 and my MM at the time was 11.

So what affects Sling Quality? I'm looking to make a good quality sling for hunting but that' sort of a problem right now. :(

The first factor is the average of the strings you use to to craft it.

The second factor is the fact that the quality is limited by your survival skills.

simply creating a sling 'effects' its quality; that is, brings about its existence and therefore its quality.
i guess they never miss huh
