How do I worship?

You have a shrine, right? If not, you need to build one.

The 3 items that the Ancestor Worship page shows are options of what you can give for your ancestors. The one on the left will award you numen points based on your change/tradition slider, the others will just re-roll the items you can sacrifice. If you have the item on the left, pick it up from your inventory, then right click on the shrine. It's a 33% chance to get 1 point at full change, and 100% chance to get 3 points at full tradition.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the item you sacrifice needs to be of greater quality than the number of numen points you have.
