You don't.
Heater wrote:2. Is there an easier way to catch a silkmoth than by clicking on it? They are extremely hard to click on, and their fast movement speed is also troublesome to deal with.
Once you have caught a breeding pair you can raise your own silkmoths. Other than that, no, there is'nt exactly an easy way to catch them. They really aren't that hard to catch in my opinion though...
Heater wrote:3. When catching a pair of silkmoths, is there some way to tell if one is male or female before catching it?
No.

Broadleaf Forest.
Heater wrote:5. How many cocoons should I turn into silk, and how many should I keep alive for the next generation?
However many you want. This depends greatly on how much time you can afford for the upkeep of your silk production, the how many herbalists table you have at your disposal and so on. Just try out different amounts until you find the right ratio for yourself.

I don't think so.
Heater wrote:7. Is there a way to keep silkmoths alive indefinitely at a stage in their growth without constant maintenance? ?
Maybe in their egg form. Not sure about that though.
Heater wrote:8. Can silkmoths fly over water?
I doubt it. Most of the silkmoths I saw treated water like a border.

You will respawn back on the boat (at least I did).
