unarmed combat or markmanship?

Postby ricky » Mon Apr 12, 2010 7:19 pm

ok guys, its me again and im stuck in a rut :| i have 15 unarmed, i dont know if i should get it higher or start working for higher level markmanship (which is 1). i can kill ants fairly easy with unarmed, ant put an inital dent in a foxes defense meter, but never get it low enough to hurt it. should i work on getting a high-Q sling (20ish) and high markmanship? or continue to get unarmed higher.

guys this isnt a "its your choice" thing.. i really need to know because rabbits arent cutting it for leather and ant arent cutting it for FEP... so unarmed or markmanship??

When you consider 20 as high quality you better stick to marksman, because for unarmed and melee to be effective against animals you would need to go for the three digit numbers.

You can hunt every animal except herds of deer with a q20 sling and 20mm/20 perc, it just takes forever to kill them. To fight effectively against lvl10 animals of all kinds I suggest at least a q50 sling and 100mm.
I have not really used melee or ua with the new combat system yet, but from what I have heard 100 melee is a good start to fight lvl10 critters. Since I don't bother with lower animals I cannot say much about the values you need. The answer is probably as sabinati said somewhere: Always more.
