Need Help With Stakes!

Hey guys/girls, just a small question about the "Owning land" stakes. Where the heck do I put them?
1. Beside my house...
2. Anywhere...
3. Or is it like a fence... don't worry, I know how to use a fence...

If you know the answer please post. If not, just don't post.

Mostly anywhere. But not too close to another claimed area.

Keep in mind it only covers a 5x5 (I think) area by default, so you probably want it in relatively close proximity to things you want claimed. You can spend LP to enlarge it, but if you don't have a lot to spare it's better to start near your stuff.
