Need Help With Sparing!

Hey guys, Just a small question for safety, When I spar can the opposition kill me? Or does it just take down the red bar of health/constitution?

If you are actually in spar mode "xxx has offered to spar with you", you are in no danger of losing health or dying, although i've heard that some combat moves are bugged and actually do cause damage, haven't verified this myself yet.

however during sparring your armor will take damage, which really sucks in my opinion
