We have a village with inactive lawspeaker. He said he had some problems with his job, and promised to drop in, but didn't. He's offline for ~four weeks already, afaik. And when chieftain tried to contact him outside the game he didn't answer and then deleted her contact in a messenger

It's hard to maintain a village, when there are only 2.5 active players (we're afraid chieftain will quit playing too because of the situation). We need more players, but before inviting them we need to refound the village and relocate the idol (there are some design problems in city planning which we can solve by doing this, and we want new and reliable lawspeaker).
</cool story>
We tried to built a ram, but it turned to be a pain in the ass. It has broken 20 cells away when we tried to move it. We tried to destroy the idol with pick axes, but it appeared to us as nearly as impossible

1. What is the fastest way to destroy an idol? Would a chief or a lawspeaker make it faster than others?
2. What stats/skills and material quality you should have to build/use battering ram effectively?
3. How long will it take to destroy an idol with battering ram? And how many times it'll take to repair?
4. What happens if authority level drops to zero? Will the idol and the village be destroyed automatically?
