Is there a limit for signs on crossroads?

Just wondering if there is a limit on the number of signs in a crossroad and if that limit is 3?

I can't seem to add a fourth sign and the wiki is incomplete on that topic.

I assume the answer is probably yes and the solution is probably building another crossroad post but the server is down so I can't try it.

Any help is appreciated.
