Location Locating

Postby Twozero » Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:17 pm

So I have read about these wonderful sounding settlements and as I gather trading is the only way to get metal and metallic object without obscene luck, my question is how do I find these towns?

And once found are they easy to get back to?

most villages will not want to tell you thier location. One of the best defences in this game is having peeps not know you. best way is goto the trade forum(apples and oranges?) and try to start a conversation with someone in there.

I think he is refering to Constantinople and our position is by no means a secret. We are in the central supergrid and you can find some maps of the region around CO in our thread: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6431

There also is a thread dedicated to gather as many maps of the world as possible: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5969

When you know how to get to CO contact juhubert and he will be able to hand you a crossroad sign, so you can teleport to this center of trade anytime you like from there on.

Also to state more simply an answer of walking.

from my first camp i walked around for a while dodging bears and boars and would stumble apon other hermits or villages.

Leave a rune stone with your Forum name so that they might try and contact you for trade or even just neighboorly friendship.

One of the best parts of the game was the day i just saw a random person walking past my camp after threes days of playing and not seeing a soul.
