Running and Rabbits.

Postby Rubera » Mon Apr 19, 2010 12:05 am

I'm new, of course. I need to kill a rabbit. And to get close to one, I need to be able to run. How can I toggle character running? And do you have any other tips for catching and killing and etc. a rabbit?

You can toggle movement speed by clicking the small icons of a man on top of the screen. Note that all speeds are not available on all terrains.

The best way to catch rabbits isn't to run, but to walk(left click) up to them as close as you can get before you try to catch them. If you're close enough you'll catch the rabbit instantly, it has no time to run away. Also, make sure you have a 4x4 square of free inventory space, if the rabbit can't fit in your inventory it will always escape.
Once a man has changed the relationship between himself and his environment, he cannot return to the blissful ignorance he left. Motion, of necessity, involves a change in perspective.

thats wrong you only need 2x2, 4x4 will get you enough room for 4 rabbits

you can do the same thing with chickens if you can find them

once you have found your victim and cuaght it, you must right click> wring neck and then you'll have a dead rabbit/bird.

to save on space and wringing of the neck, you can learn the skill unarmed combat, which allows you to have punch, and punch the rabbit, which will end up a dead rabbit on the groud (it required 1x2,so more rabbit faster)

the above is just another method, but the basics is still there
