Whats the easiest way to regain HHP?

Postby Lawbro » Tue Apr 20, 2010 11:29 am

What's the quickest easiest way for newbie to replenish hard hitpoints? I'm down to 49 but I have a substantial amount of work done, and this has me worried.

I remember hearing something about leeches, but I'm not sure what.

While walking in swamp terrain all empty equipment slots will get leeches on them. These suck your blood and deplete soft hit points. But this has a small (very small) chance of giving you 1 hard hit point back. This is a gradual process. The leeches will become bloated after a while and stop healing you. If you take them off and store them somewhere they will go back to normal after a while. Put them back on and start the process again. Eventually you will get your hp back up again.

Alternatively, find some four leaf clovers once you get up a bit and feed it to a sheepy and get some wool. You can turn that into gauze which is much more effective.

Damn it, you beat me to it.

The other thing with leeches is you need to keep your hunger filled or your SHP won't refill and you are at greater risk to lose HHP if you get hit again.

Another question, I've gone and cut down a great number of trees in my general area in order to build stockpiles and a house, how do I replant them?

step by step process for tree making.

one more thing bout leeches. you have 3 choises for bloated leeches.

1. take em off and throw em away
2. Store em in a container and they will get better in quality
3. use em as fishing bait(i always catch the good fish when i use bloated leeches)

Perhaps not for the faint of heart, but I keep a wardrobe with bunnyslippers, a toga, and the rest leeches (because being naked is just unsightly). SHP goes down wicked fast, but HHP usually goes up pretty quick too. If it starts to get too low, run back to wardrobe and strip lest you get murdered by the bloodsuckers.

I know of the talk of surrounding animals with pile of wood building sites, but I was considering just honeycombing my property with them, sort of like traps.(Which I wish they'd add if they haven't already.) I'm setting up camp next to some small yellow looking fields which occasionally spawn things other than foxes and chickens, and I wonder how plausible it'd be to do this.

If so, what's a good level to get my marksmanship up to before I start. Once I get a house, some furniture, and a kiln I should have a decent ammount of LP

Edit: Also, does carpentry effect anything other than quality?
