Shallow water fish problem.

I've been trying to catch some fish that the wiki indicate live in shallow water but continue to only catch Perch which the fishing wiki says are only in deep water. I've tried many spots and this most recent spot I feel I'm 100% in shallow water since the area it covers is quite large(see picture):



is this location correct it seems like shallow lake but still only see perch with the odd Pike.

Then the Wiki is wrong. Perch are easily caught in shallow water.

Yes, that's shallow water. The problem is that the fishing information on the Wiki isn't reliable at all. You should just rotate lures until you start catching something useful.

Thanks for the quick replies is it safe to assume to the lure information for fish in the wiki is pretty off as well?

Any info you get on fishing is just wild guesses.

It seems that the fishing system has completely changed. Recently, I caught 4 different types of fish in the same place. The number of fishes of each type was approximately the same - 15-20 of each type of fish. Leeches were used as bait.
