Problem while taming

After the first 60 taming points, I've been knocked down by the auroch. Yeah, quite silly, in fact that's the first time it happens
I got up, and it's been about two hours since it does not attack me. Does it lose the aggro and/or the taming points if it knocks you down? So do I have to re-start taming? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hey, I'm new so I haven't tamed anything, but this topic seems to have a lot of information on taming: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5786

According to that, you should only lose the tame points if it disengages you(meaning the monster's picture isn't in the top right of the screen anymore) If it did disengage, yes, you have to re-start.

Had something similar while taming a goat the other day, except every now and again it did re-attack, of course after knocking me out, it went passive, and still followed me however. Didn't loose any taming on it, and it's name is Brutus. May have just been an odd occurrence, but that was two days ago now.
