Get Lembas?

The wiki seems to be lacking when it comes to explaining the concepts of numen points and its awards or It's hidden in plain sight and I'm unable to see it. (How am I going to find a tree with this stupid FOREST in the way?)

It's my understanding that Lembas is essentially a consumable SHP restorer and that the only way to get this is through ancestral worship and spending some ~20 numen points. I'd check normally on the wiki or find out myself if this is how it currently works but obvious obstacles prevent me from doing so.

But is this how you earn lembas? I'm asking because I'd think that they would be in high demand, yet I see no one buying or selling them on the trade subforums. It's like lembas doesn't even exist.

I would link ya to the thread but I never have luck with it. My understanding is that Lembas has been removed from the items you can get using numen points. Something about grifeing and abusing them.

Ah, interesting. It's the only thing removed, then? Still makes it quite worthwhile with einherwhatsit. No worries about the link either. I can understand why it'd be removed from the game from a gameplay perspective, wanting to keep combat focused on combat instead of a pie-eating contest. Insert wafer if you wish.

Most people are smart enough not to beg, but the item was always intended for debug/testing rather than actual ingame use. After world one we handed out one lembas to each character who came to world two from world one, because we wanted them to be able to heal up and start fresh in the new world. A lot of people, of course, didn't use the bread straight away, but instead saved it for more critical uses. There was quite a market for them, for a while. We did have them in as a prayer for a few days, but we're going to put that idea right down there with winds as temporary lapses of sanity.
