Been playing for a wee while, got my claim and cabin set up, some fields starting to grow and all is looking well however I've taken a beating. I've got 43 HP left and I cant get gauze/wool or leeches. I cant even find people to get help, prolly will get killed trying to tame so well..help...help help

leeches or wool man, thats really all that can be said..I would recommend putting your building/taming projects on hold, and get out there and move around a bit and find a swamp. I know that the grey swamp gives you leeches now, and from what I hear the solid green one does too.

Back in my day sonny it was only the green swamp with crap floating in it where you could get leeches..plus you had to walk uphill both ways, barefoot, in the snow to get there  Out of those 3 swamps you should be fine, swamps in general aren't hard to find. (anyone else know if the grey swamp/white on minimap gives leeches too)

Wool is better of course, once you raise perception and explore a bit, clover becomes quite common to see

Yeah in fist setting up I got horribly mauled by bears and boars and thorns (shoes are seriously the most important thing ever) was down to 11 hhp at one point. Managed to get back up to 94 so far though. What I did was start an alt give it my hearth secret and stole all it's starting supplies, then grinded up enough for wheelmaking after building a small fenced area, got a boat found a swamp (took a lot of searching) and set up a "medicine cabinet" (i.e. cupboard full of leeches). Cause swamp is a bit of a journey. Then just throw em on when workin about the plot...behind some sort of fence preferably.

I found a swamp not too far away, I 'borrowed' a boat that seemed to be unused gather a ton and just teleported back, plus there's a ton of clay there. Phew, problem getting solved...Slowly but they fear is over!

I'm also dying, but I'm dying of hunger, I have no way of getting more food, I ate half of the starting food and lost the other half in a boar attack :(
The highway currently goes nowhere.
Well, where is it supposed to go to? Irongrad? thats an hour away!

the fastest way to solve is this is to gain enough lp to learn hunting ( 200lp = chop 4 trees ), then "hunt" some Rabbits, butcher and cook them over a fire.

I wrote "hunt" because hunting rabbits consists of

- have enough space in your inventory ( 2x2 )
- left click the rabbit until you almost stand on the rabbit
- right click it

As you might have recognized, its more collecting than hunting, which makes it the perfect food source for new players.

You'll need animal husbandry for this iirc.

The wiki says youre wrong:

I´m to lazy to create a new char to prove it though.
