How to start farming?

Hi. I'm having a few issues with finding the seeds needed to plant and grow crops. Farming isn't going to well for me, any information about the subject would help a lot. I can't seem to find anything though.

You first need some stats to find Wild windsown weed.
Then you need herbalist table and windsown weed will turn to random seeds after few hours (2-3 irl).
You can also just ask for some seeds when you meet people.

After you get seeds, you plow land by hand or by plow tool.. thats where seeds are planted.
Thats all.. no watering.. no compost.. you just wait some time depending on crop and voila...

Also worth noting: herbalist tables require plant fibers (flax or hemp) to build. Drying frames (req. Hunting skill) can be built with just branches and used to process weeds too, but the process takes about 3 times longer.
