Departure.

Postby Heater » Tue Apr 27, 2010 1:50 am

Well, my character was just killed by a random person carrying what appeared to be some of the best gear in the game. I suppose this cures my latent addiction/appreciation for H&H, but it is still very unnerving how someone can run up to your character and ruin a few weeks' hard work with almost little to no punishment, especially considering the fact that my character in nettles stood no chance to a man in steel. Upon inheriting my character, I found that I couldn't even get out of my land because I had the only key with me when I died. It's only a matter of time until the man who killed me goes on to steal everything from my land as well. I guess the Hearthlands are pretty cruel after all. Perhaps if the sun shines in a brighter direction, I might revisit this game. Or not.

I'll say at least this: This game was depressing, fun, rough and most of all, it was exciting. I had some great memories (first bear kill), and some awful ones (having to build four palisades), and those made the game what it was.

Keep on hearthing.

Never ever carry the keys on your main. Ever.

Wait . . . the only safe way to have locks is to have multiple characters and leave one 'at home' at all times? That's crazy.

No, the only safe way is to not use gates at all.
