I have a question..i can only grab 1 piece of clay near the rivers and then i cannot find much at all..is there a way to get more clay? Like a huge deposit or something?

Yep. Keep searching. If you go about fifty tiles you should get at least one more block of clay. But you also might hit the edge of a big high q clay deposit. There are plenty of good clay beds out there if you can only find them. If the center spot of the clay bed is q35 the clay in the surrounding tiles will be of lesser and lesser quality the further out you go until it reaches q10 and peters out. Don't forget to try the opposite bank as there will usually be lots there too.

You can exhaust a clay bed by digging it all up, but if you give it time it grows back again in the same place.
