How do i fish

I've almost got all the stuff need so do i just go to the water and right click or something?

Look for fish jumping in the water. Fish are only found at those fishing spots. If you don't have a boat yet try to get as close to where you see a fish jump as possible to fish. Often the spot extends a few tiles around the fish that you see jumping out of the water, but not always.

Fishing is in the adventure menu. When you click the button your mouse pointer will turn into a hook. Right click the water where you want to fish, just as you suggested.

If you are traveling fast in a boat you will probably not see fish jump as they only jump every few seconds, not constantly.
