Regional Map

I need confirmation, I'm starting to put some maps together, I've currently 3 locals on one regional. I heard from one lad that maps will dissappear after 12 days, even if in my inventory. Is this true? Even if I keep on using them or something, I dont mind so much bout the locals but lossing the regional would be a pain in the arse!

Maps do not randomly disappear, they're just another item.

What he's talking about is someone reacting to this post of loftar's about some sort of arcane hibbedy jibbedy that evidently turns maps into fancy parchment you can't write on.

I don't know if this is a regular thing or not, but after confirming some of my maps weren't loading properly I just trashed the whole bag (well, cupboard) since they're already saved as screenshots anyway.

To address the original question, I think if you keep on viewing the thing regularly you're safe in any case. Whether it'll poof or not if you just leave it languishing around in a cupboard, I don't actually know.

hmm....hope you're right i hate the idea of maps dissapearing, ill keep the regional on me then at all time. Handy for the LP anywhos I guess. Thanks guys

maps shouldn't disappear, but loftar cleaned up some server stuff recently and lots maps disappeared because of that (can we have em back somehow? =D)
