I've got a fairly simple question. Normally, the number of food event points needed to gain another stat point is equal to one's highest stat value. Thus if one has e.g. 30 str and 25 of everything else, one would need 30 FEPs to trigger a food event. If one then gets a bear amulet, one's strength now shows in green, as 35 - but one still appears to need only 30 FEPs. What happens if one's personal beliefs incline towards barbarism? Let's say one is full barbarian and so has 30% more strength. 30% of 30 is 9. I believe one will now see 44 str - in green - unless the 30% is also applied to the +5 from the amulet. What I want to know is whether one still needs only 30 FEP to raise some other stat - or whether one needs 39. I'd have thought it was 30, but I seem to be getting unexpected results in actual practice. (I'll count the FEPs more carefully next time I have a food event, but it seems to me my FEPs needed have increased, even though my maximum real stat has not. Perhaps it's just impatience though...)
