Big Bear Bangers

Does anyone know what FEP values these give, and to what stats?

It's supposedly +50 strength FEP.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

It is Exactly 50 str FEP. nothing more nothing less, no other stat. I measured it a while back.

yea... bears are harder to get then they used to be.. you have to travel farther and farther / to more dangerous places...
Both because of less server crashes and more civilization killing some of the low-level bear forests.
A hour or two after a server crash is a good time to hunt though.

Tragic; that is an incredible food yet I can find no level 4 bears, and level 5 is too much for me because I wasn't one of the people who scored 100k LP with archery back in the day.

The lack of bear lp isnt a limiting factor to hunting bears.
My unarmed skill [which i use as my main combat/hunting tool] was raised completly from 10 or so to what it is now [enough to kill bears with unarmed] after the nerf to bear lp was done... so that nerf isn't really the limiting factor at all.
You can still score quite a bit of LP safetly by hunting with bow/arrows foxes / forest creatures and abusing pathfinding.. or failing that you could do it the hard way and work your way up from lvl 1 foxes using melee or unarmed. [melee is much better/easier]

Yeah, melee is way, way up there, but it's not enough for level 5 bears.

exploit initiative storing.
Agro a rat without killing it, then opportunity knocks on something else like a cow or a sheep a bunch of times will let you store a ridiculous number of initiative.

Then use a combination of side-step and whatever high damage high chance to hit special attacks you want. I used valorous strike. If you've got a battleaxe cleave is probably a better bet.

Heh you probably never tried level 1 unarmed combat against an alt with shield. I did that once and the init went offscreen. Just have your alt follow you and you'll have infinite init.

And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
