So i heard a rumor about Mining

Someone told me that Gold can be found near iron and i also heard that you could find another mine inside a mine. or maybe two mines in a cave???? anyone know. am i just being foolish?

i doubt mines spawn that close to each other, im not too sure about the mine inside a mine though, i dont think its possible.

Two mines in one cave are possible. I saw that with my own eyes.
Not sure about the distance between mines though.
