How do I find high q stone?

Postby karmov » Thu May 06, 2010 1:26 am

Is it like soil and water and you just have to find it? If so, are there any strategies to finding higher q stone? I know with soil and water, you can follow quality increases to where you find the highest q, but stones are more discrete...

I'm told you can harvest stone from the ground in mountains, which should have quality spots like soil/etc. Also, I believe smelted ore can become quality stone, although that's a less accessible method for most people.

Haven't bumped into a mountain yet... Maybe that's my problem.

Yeah, you can dig on mountain to find higher quality stone, though you'll still need to luck into a quality spot. The best way and (relatively) easiest way is to use smelter stone.

Find a mine, or join a village with a mine and mine ore and stick it in a high Q smelter. You'll get some bars but you'll get a lot of stones as well.
