Blocks of wood VS. branches

Postby cardboard » Fri May 07, 2010 11:21 pm

If I chop up blocks of wood into branches would it provide more fuel than just putting them in or are the the same? think maybe the chopping them up may provide more fuel but need confirmation.
I didn't put anything below my post

From my experience, chopping them up into branches yields more fuel.
I had two kilns with an equal amount of fuel, then chopped up 2 blocks of wood into branches, put that into one and put 2 blocks into the other.
Branch one won by about 1/6 of the total fuel bar or something. I think it's kinda silly, but oh well.

1 block =2 fuel
5 branches = 5 fuel

1 block -> 2 coal (4 fuel, ussually better quality)
1 block = 2 fuel
1 branch = 1 fuel

it is logical bug
