Stealth is only used when you commit a crime and leave scents. For someone to discover your scents his exploration and perception are rolled against your stealth and intelligence. Unfortunately stealth is not worth that much since when the ranger exits and reenters the screen with your scent on he will reroll the test. So he just needs to walk in and out often enough to find your scents even with low ranging stats against a very skilled thief.

Is the thief in any random direction within the wedge, or is it still centered? Seems useless in the latter case, unless wedge size can hit zero...
