what extent happens to our character, do they go to start or just lose items or change nothing, does there back pack empty that sort of thing. i haven't been present for one yet, and i have to admit it kinda scares me

There's nothing set in stone for it. For the first reset, we only cleared character inventories, and only for technical reasons (to add quality to items). For the second, we removed all characters, and not for technical reasons at all, but to see how the early game turned out with all the changes we had made to it. It depends on what we want to achieve with the reset.

any sort of timeline on the next one, cause i like the game don't get me wrong but travel time drives me nuts and the re was way to much travel involved in starting up. that and a lot was luck of finding specific things early, basically i would hate to have to completely restart my character.

Nope, there's no timeline. Usually not on anything. On special occasions we might plan a few weeks ahead. :)

And then do something completely different anyway.
