Summon a murderer who has no hearth

Postby Pansy » Wed May 12, 2010 9:12 pm

I have the murder scent from a perpetrator who killed a villager of mine. When I track hearth fire I get a message saying "The perpertrator has no hearth fire". When I track the perpetrator I get a very thin red track to follow. In the old days when I summoned someone who had not hearth at Brodgar they could be dealt with there. But what about this guy? How do I summon him?

Or is he, as I suspect, already dead?

When you track perp and it gives you a path, that means the guy is online and can't be summoned. Otherwise it would say "perp not logged in". So you'll have to follow that line and meet him live and in person.

According to the announcement made after the map reset, a player without a hearth fire can be summoned anywhere. I haven't had the chance to try this out myself, but if thats the case then I'd imagine you could just right click his scent anywhere and do the thing there.

It could also mean that he's dead, in which case it would track his dry bones. Thus, if he appears to be online all the time, it's quite likely he's already dead.

I thought that in that case you would get a message along the lines of "this player is dead"? It's been a while since I've tracked a dead guy but has that changed?

Nope, it's always been like that.

Once a player dies if you have his scent and track him it will keep pointing to his corpse claiming he is online until the next time the server resets.

To see if he is dead or not just try and summon him (drag the scent and right click somewhere next to you) and if he is dead you get a message saying so.
