Clay Problems

How the fuck do I get clay? I tried digging the shallow water, but nothing comes out. What gives??

If you can't find it at that spot, try moving up/down the shallow water. Usually clay spots are far inbetween. Just move up, try digging - if you don't get anything, move on.

have you read the forums much? The how-to threads? The wiki? All this stuff is explained there. You are asking some very basic questions that are already answered in many other places. You should read them. So much of your time and everyone else time can be saved.

Oh gosh, i can't disagree, but seriously - the "there's already a thread about this, use the search function" is getting soooooo drawn out on every forum i have been to.

This is a HOW-TO, it's meant for asking questions, it's not specifically an archive for new players to search through. I hate feeling like people are getting scared of asking, and i feel they do - because of saying this like that!

Clay spawns in shallow water, just not all shallow water

Try moving up/down the stream/river you're searching, and try digging other shallow water spots

I suggested not the search function but that you read through the forums yourself. even posts that you didn't make. there is a wealth of information here. I also suggested 2 specific ares for you to check. the how-to stickied thread somewhere and the wiki itself (which i see you already know about). Chillax a bit. Its very good reading. i spent alot of time searching through here and picked up many useful bits of info. Seriously, instead of defending your posting with more posting you should try read, its very good sometimes.

Dig Around swamps or grassland theres mostly high q there sand is a good place to dig at also.

when i dig on red ground sometimes i get clay but alot of times it doesn't,whats up with that?

clay only spawns in nodes, if you get 1 q10 thats all you're getting. if you get any other quality its a clay node. its much easier to find ball clay(kind in shallow water) than it is to find acre clay(mudflats). also theres a thread at the top for simple questions might be easier to post there than to go digging up threads from last year.
