Can I fill vine barrel with water? It'll be alot easyer instead then hafto go to the river all the time(Since its about a 2-3 minute walk from my settlement)

String refers to Stinging Nettle, Spindly Taproot, Silk or Plant Fibre.
The first two are your best option if you dont have a farm yet, which I suspect.
Stinging Nettle is string but cant be used for fishing line, so you need Spindly Taproot.
Buy the skill foraging, even with 1 Exploration and 10 Perception you find Spindly Taproot.

its updated now so nettle can be used for fishing too? havnt been fishing for a long time
