WTF is with Plaice?

Ok so me and my friend both want Plaice fish. We fish the same spot to the mm. We use the same bait. Only diference is his survival is lower than mine. He keeps getting Plaice and I keep getting stupid Pike. Can somone tell me why this is?

They claim the cycles of the moon and bait type determine the fish you catch, but it's all a load of it. I can go out and fish any time I like and I will always find the same result. Roughly 95% of my fish caught will be one of the normal types, such as brill or roach, and I will also get a few of the fish I actually want. I had the same issue before when trying for plaice or eels. Even using the exact type of lure and time it claims, it just comes up mostly other things.

Be certain that your fishing equipment is not of too high the quality. If you have a bone hook that is q35 and your friend has a bone hook that is q10 it will likely happen that you catch the pike and he catch the plaice. Exchange the equipment and you will see that it is so. For pike you use the higher quality, and for plaice the lower.

Thank Allu, my bone hook was Q 65. That is probably the answer.
