translucent buildings?

is there a way to make buildings translucent so its easier to build behind them or should i get this thread moved to the suggestion forum?

you'd need to unpack the jar file and edit the resources and repack it. the trav made some utility for it.

Should be able to add a console command like Pacho's nightvision that would disable the buildings rather than the light overlay. No idea how you'd go about it as I am not a coder, but the concept is very similar.

Having the ability to plant trees when you can't see the ground (because eg. of building or other trees) would be nice.

well it would require the client to unload the jar file and load a different one, i have no idea if it's even possible. it would be nice though.

Out of curiosity I read theTrav's client is very outdated, would there be another semi-easy way of getting this done?

no, not his client. he made a utility program to unpack/repack the resource files.
