EDIT: Caught 1 Fish, But I dont know how. Do I hafto press the jumping fish right away? Since they seem to be close, then 5tiles away.

You just need to give it some time - just cast and leave it be. If you don't catch anything in 3-4 minutes, try changing your lure.

As for Wolferion's question, you need click on equipment pieces to get them to stick to your cursor, then right click the pole. To fully equip a pole, you need a line (any string but nettle, for reasons beyond my understanding), a hook and a lure or bait.

FYI,
Lures are unlimited use until they break(they will last a while usually)
Bait are always lost after first fish.

So the only reason to use bait is to catch a certain kind of fish, or if they are better quality than any of your lures.
You can use intestines as a bait BTW, easy to get high Q one if you hunt.

In my experience baits tend to be faster. If you have a swamp right next to a fishing spot, leeches are the way to go IMO.
