A few questions.

Postby Bobusx » Tue May 25, 2010 8:12 pm

Hi, I suppose I should start off by introducing myself, my name is Bobus, I'm fairly new to this game, I think I have been officially playing since three days ago, but I already love it! There are just a few questions I wouldn't mind asking.

Question number one: With little resources IE Trees, fish, farming and maybe some clay what are the best ways to gain lots and lots of LP?
Question number two: What is a good number to set my mele combat skill to before I start going out and trying to hunt things like foxes?
Question number three: Do I need to increase any stats before I can go out to find a mine? I would love some metal but I have no idea if I should start looking or not.
Question number four: What would be the best way to tame a sheep and cow? I could Really use some wool for making clothing and milk for cooking, but I'm unsure as to how I should go about taming them with such low stats

Any and all help is appreciated, and thank you for your time!

1. If you don't want to rape the enviroment, i'd say just collect branches and make fires/wicker baskets.

2. Don't use melee, use unarmed, it will take about 20-30 to be able to damage the fox, a good constitution level is recomended. (You should also gain skills that give you moves, like the skill "Valor") It's also recommended that you know how to kill something.

3. You need an exploration x perception=400 stat to be able to find rustroot (Which is a pain in the ass to find), and the skill prospecting to be able to make the extract and search. Mines are terribly rare, though.

4. To tame aurcoch(cow) and mouflon(sheep) you need to be able to survive it attacking you, and you need a specific skill to gain it, the wiki tells you more.(You also need rope, which takes 10 string.

Actually, if you're a farmer with nothing but carrots and a massive empty field with nothing to do you'll be gaining LP and perception very, very fast.
Planting and harvesting gives LP and carrots give perception FEP.

Actually, it doesn't take any LP. Just get your perception to 40.

Also, for foxes... The unarmed/melee needed to kill one is also dependent on ITS OWN level. Its own level is determined by how many hearthfires are in the area.

hm not quite, he'd need to spend 5400 LP to get to 10 exploration for exp x per to be 400

also hearthfires don't effect animal levels anymore, only villages do.
