I found a random hole

Postby Bobusx » Wed May 26, 2010 5:21 pm

It's in the side of a hill but it's very dark down there, is it worth grabbing a few torches and exploring?

You can (so far) only find cavebulbs in caves. You need exploration x perception at...uhm 800 to see them? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Cavebulbs are good to raise PSY when eaten as butter-steamed cavebulbs. They usually can be traded with bigger towns for metal and the like.

Wow really? I figured it was going to be a small mine...that's pretty balls, that and my perception x exploration is like 40 >_> stupid metal is so hard to find, the only mine within like 5000 minimaps away from me is owned off with a claim

ah well thanks for the info.

there are sometimes mines in caves. you have to prospect for them with rustroot extract.

For the record, you can also find various bodies of water in caves, which seem to be either entirely shallow or entirely deep; these sometimes contain fish, and possibly clay. Stalagmites can also be chipped away for stone, although in my experience they're always q10.

Oh, and they're really huge, so I recommend wandering around in them for fun. If they had wildlife in them, they'd make great dungeons.
