Improve Performance

Postby Griegor » Fri May 28, 2010 11:04 pm

Hello,
I have a pretty beefy computer. Quad Core 3.0 processor, 4 Gig's of Ram, 285 GTX Nvidia card. I run into this problem where on the larger farm plots I tends to run a little slow, but if I go into my house it picks back up again.

It is either a matter of ram usage of the client or how much data java can take at once over the internet? How can I improve performance on the game client? Are there any settings that I should change to fix it? I am currently running Pachu's client with 1024x768 resolution.

Thanks.

i hear a lot of complaints about lag on large fields, it seems fairly common, but i've never run into it myself. what OS do you run? are your java and video drivers current?

I am running Win 7 64 bit and I have no idea what my Java Version is. It's not a program I really used until I discovered this game. I'll try updating it to see if that helps.

My Java was already up to date so that was not the issue. Does anyone have any other ideas I could try?

Someone planted a lag field hey? Seems to happen to some people at some times. Not a major issue normally. Just either plant small fields or if its not your field then avoid the area.

Also, how big we talking? I have a whole screen taken up by smaller 15*15 field plots and never lag. But if you mean somehting like a 50*50 wheat or somehting then maybe I can understand.

if it lags much you should use 800x600 or a little huger.
